When Travelling to different countries, what are the main problems that people are confronted with?

The world is a beautiful place with many fascinating people and many amazing cultures. Sometimes, however, the language barrier can be a hard thing to cope with. Ever had that situation where you were in a fine restaurant in a beautiful country and wanted to order something to drink but you were lacking the basics of their language? 

Or how about the time you went to France and wanted to go on top of the Eiffel tower just before closing time but couldn’t ask for directions just because you couldn’t speak the language?
